Nemanja Vidic is set to defy the doctors and specialists by making a return to first team action quicker than expected. The Serbian defender damaged his cruciate ligament against Basel and was ruled out for the rest of the season; however Vidic has responded well to treatment following his operation and is reportedly a couple of months ahead of schedule. His return will be a massive boost for United who are set to be involved in their toughest title run-in for years.
