Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has picked his ideal England starting XI for Euro 2016 on Sky Sports, which contains four Tottenham players.
With the competition set to begin in France in less than three months, talk of who Roy Hodgson will select for the Three Lions is gathering pace.
England are set to play against Germany in an international friendly later today, which will be a chance for a number of younger players to shine.
Merson has clearly been impressed with Spurs’ form this season and feels that Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane should all get the nod to play in France.
Interestingly, given Merson’s club allegiance, he has not picked any Arsenal players in his ideal starting XI and Spurs have the most of any club.
Although Kane was a revelation last season also, the progression of the other three has been incredible over the last six months in particular.
