Former Blues defender David Luiz has come out to say that he believes Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United target Talisca should reject a potential move to the Premier League and remain with Benfica, Express reports.
The 20-year-old has been in great form this season for the Portuguese side, earning himself a place in the Brazil squad after being called up to replace injured Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura.
However, Luiz, who also rose to fame at Benfica, revealed that his fellow international teammate shouldn’t get tempted by the recent interest from the Premier League as he believes Talisca could benefit from regular football at his current side.
He said: “Talisca is having a great season and deserves the accolades he is getting from around the world.
“I just hope that he can continue playing well because he will be very important for Brazil.
“I saw him playing when he was still at Bahia. He is a player of great quality.
“He had the good fortune to fall into the hands on Jorge Jesus. He’s a coach that improves his players.
“Every year we see Benfica sell three or four players with six or seven others the subject of offers.
“Jorge Jesus empowers and teaches players though. Talisca still has plenty to learn and I’m sure he’ll get better in the future.”
