Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has blown away any chances of taking the Manchester United hot-seat despite having experience in the Premier League with Chelsea earlier in his career, Daily Mail reports.
The Italian manager publicly stated his intentions to stay with the Spanish giants as he turns his attention to his team’s vital Champions League second leg tie with Bayern Munich.
Ancelotti said: “I haven’t had contact with Manchester United. I want to stay at Real Madrid for a long time.”
Ryan Giggs is currently the interim manager at United despite a long list of potential nominees such as Louis van Gaal, Pep Gaurdiola, Jurgen Klopp, and Diego Simeone being tracked by the club.
However, Giggs is also believed to be another credible candidate, but would probably serve as an assistant until the right time comes to take over his boyhood team.
With Klopp earlier, and now Ancelotti, stating their desire to remain with their current clubs, the list of possible replacements is getting ever smaller.
