According to BetStars, via the Metro, former Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge says Blues manager Antonio Conte should try and sign Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli.

Despite the fact that they are closing in on a Premier League title after a magnificent campaign, Bridge believes that the side is still missing the number of goals Frank Lampard used to bring from the midfield before he departed Stamford Bridge in 2014, and that Alli could fill the void.

The in-form 20-year-old has proven that he would bring those after he scored his 15th Premier League goal in just his 29th appearance of the season in the dramatic 3-1 win against Swansea City on Wednesday night, which kept Mauricio Pochettino’s just seven points behind their London neighbours.

Bridge told BetStars: “I’d love to see Dele Alli in a Chelsea shirt. I think under Antonio Conte he would do really well.

“Chelsea definitely miss Frank Lampard and for me Dele Alli is the closest player at this precise moment that could fill his boots.

“He’s got the attributes to go and do it – he’s still young, he can score goals, he can assist and he works hard."

As well as his goalscoring exploits, the England international has shown his creativity by providing five assists for his teammates, but Conte would certainly face a huge battle to prise Alli away from White Hart Lane to join one of Tottenham’s biggest rivals.
