Former Man United boss Celtic’s first choice to replace Deila

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes is the favourite to land the Celtic job this summer, with The Daily Mail stating that the Parkhead club have their eye on the Scotsman.

Current boss Ronny Deila is set to walk away from Celtic Park at the end of the current campaign, with a host of big-name coaches linked with a move to replace the Norwegian.

Moyes was successful over a decade at Everton but found himself out of his depth when he replaced Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

A stint with Spanish club Real Sociedad has followed but the former Toffees chief is now immediately available to assume a new role.

Celtic will face Old Firm rivals Rangers in the top flight next term as the Ibrox side have been restored to the Scottish top flight.

As such, the Bhoys are expected to bolster their playing contingent ahead of the challenge, with a new manager set to lead the team in the Champions League also.
