Former Man United boss targets loan move for Liverpool captain

Former Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes is looking to sign Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard for Real Sociedad, according to reports from the Express.

Gerrard is set to leave Anfield after the ex-England midfielder agreed on a move to join MLS side LA Galaxy at the end of the campaign.

However, Gerrard could consider a loan move next year, as the MLS takes a three-month off-season break from January to March.

This could therefore give Gerrard the opportunity to gain some pre-season fitness in the Spanish La Liga, and Moyes will be extremely keen on bringing the Reds legend to the Anoeta Stadium.

But Moyes is not the only interested club looking to sign the 34-year-old, as Scottish giants Celtic are also monitoring the situation.

Gerrard has already revealed he does not wish to play for any other Premier League team other than Liverpool, and is set to mull over a potential deal to either Spain or Scotland.
