Manchester United are believed to in talks to bring back Nemanja Vidic who only made the switch to Inter Milan during the summer, Daily Star reports.
The 33-year-old centre-back has been struggling to perform in the Serie A and with Louis van Gaal losing most of his defenders to injury, he could turn to the former Serbian international as adequate backup.
Rumours surfaced that the Red Devils have already agreed a deal with the Italian giants to move forward with the transfer dealing over his potential return.
However, both clubs are yet to confirm the speculation as no official statement has been released over the move to sign the former skipper.
Should Vidic complete his switch to Old Trafford, it is believed that he will only serve as back up to the first team, but Van Gaal will still be boosted by the level of experience the defender can offer to his young back line.
