Former Manchester United star Paul Ince has admitted that he believes Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini should leave the club, Express reports.
Both midfielders have been given a very limited role this season following the arrivals of summer signings Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.
Herrera was tipped to become a huge asset for manager Louis van Gaal upon his arrival back in 2014, but has failed to earn himself a regular spot in the squad.
Ince questioned the addition of Herrera given that his build and style of play doesn’t fit with players who succeed in the Premier League.
“I watched him play in Spain and he suits the Spanish game but I don’t think he suits the Premier League,” he said.
“When he plays he gets forward and gets a couple of goals but Van Gaal has gone for two strong ones sitting in there and it’s hard for him to fit into that.”
He also added that Fellaini should consider an exit given that he is not being used to his fullest potential as he is currently playing for the wrong club.
“I feel sorry for Fellaini because the price tag was a lot of money.
“With Fellaini I think he’s a very intelligent player but he’s at the wrong club.“
Despite finding themselves third on the Premier League table, United have often failed to finish off their chances, drawing heavy criticism to their boring style of football.
