Former Tottenham icon tells Real Madrid star to SNUB Manchester United

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has told team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo not to leave the Bernabeu for Manchester United, Express reports.

The current Ballon D’or winner hit another hat-trick as Real crushed Athletic Bilbao 5-0 this past weekend, which puts Ronaldo at an astonishing 13 goals in just six games this season.

Two of those goals were provided by former Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale, and the Welsh international is hoping Ronaldo doesn’t quit the current European champions after falling out with club president Florentino Perez over the club’s transfer policy.

The Red Devils are the favourites to bring back Ronaldo after selling him for £80million to Real Madrid five years ago, but Bale is hoping to continue combining with the Portuguese superstar for as long as possible.

Bale said: “Should Ronaldo go to Manchester United? Definitely not.

“He’s shown what a world-class player he is, year after year, scoring the goals.

“Obviously as players we wouldn’t want to see Ronaldo leave. Of course we want to see him stay at Real Madrid.”

Bale was signed from Spurs back in the summer of 2013, with his £83.5million fee eclipsing the previous world record held by Ronaldo.
