Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to give four of his players a contract extension, Daily Star reports.
Rodgers is keen to keep Martin Skrtel, Raheem Sterling, Jordan Henderson, and Jon Flanagan at the club, and is prepared to offer them new bumpers deals to do so.
England international Raheem Sterling is currently Liverpool’s biggest asset, with his impressive performances alerting the likes of Real Madrid.
However the Reds hierarchy believe that the 20-year-old will remain at Anfield after they give Sterling a new long-term extension.
Slovakian ace Martin Skrtel is also likely to commit his future to the club, with a new deal being offered due to his contract expiring in 18 months time.
Skrtel was purchased from Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg seven years ago, and has developed into a key member of the squad.
He recently said: “It is a great honour for me to play seven years for Liverpool.
“We’ve had some great moments together and I am really happy I am part of this all. Liverpool are now in my heart.”
Jordan Henderson is also set to receive a new deal after being named as the club captain when Steven Gerrard departs, while defender Jon Flanagan is expected to have his contract renewed before it runs out this summer.
