The agent of Frank Lampard claims he is ‘flattered’ at the reported interest of Napoli, despite admitting there has been no contact.
Steve Kutner has spoken out about the 34-year-old Chelsea and England midfielder’s future as he is approaching the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge with no extension yet to be agreed.
Napoli, who are on course to qualify for the Champions League as they sit second in Serie A, have been mooted as potential suitors for Lampard.
And, while Kutner insists that they are yet to make a concrete move for his services on a Bosman free transfer, he would not rule out the possibility of a move to Naples this summer.
Speaking to Italian newspaper Napoli Today, he said: “We haven’t had any contact for Lampard from Napoli. [But] it is a great club. Frank is definitely flattered about an approach from Napoli.”
