Free-scoring Burnley hitman to ditch the Premier League for the continent

Burnley striker Danny Ings is set to fly out to Spain today to open negotiations with David Moyes’ Real Sociedad over a potential summer move, according to the Sun.

The proposed move would come as a blow to Liverpool, who were reportedly interested in signing the hitman in the January transfer window.

The 22, year-old’s deal at Turf Moor expires at the end of the season, which gives him permission to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club, and after heading out by private jet to look around northern Spain Ings could put pen to paper on a £60,000-a-week deal with the Basque club.

Former Manchester United boss Moyes is believed to be giving his number one target VIP treatment in a bid to persuade Ings to finalise the deal.

The Burnley striker has scored 9 goals in the Premier League this season, more than the likes of Wayne Rooney, Olivier Giroud and Romelu Lukaku.
