Arsenal and Manchester United could be given a January boost amid speculation that Paris Saint-Germain will be considering the sale of Edinson Cavani, Express reports.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League as both mentioned clubs were keen on his services.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was hoping to add the striker into his ranks ahead of deadline day, but was priced out of a move for the Uruguayan international.
Cavani is said to be valued at about the £45million region, an amount that Wenger refused to pay in order to push forward with the potential switch.
United boss Louis van Gaal was also considering a move for the PSG star throughout the campaign, but instead completed a £36million deal for Monaco starlet Anthony Martial.
However, the Ligue 1 champions could consider his sale after the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from injury has seen the forward once again shifted to play along the flank.
