Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy is set to undergo his medical in the USA before completing his move to Liverpool, Sky Sports reports.
The agreed £8.5million fee for Remy’s transfer could increase to £11million after discussions, but the move is edging closer with the French international on his way to complete his medical.
Liverpool are currently on their pre-season tour in the United States to face Serie A side AS Roma in their first fixture of the Guinness International Cup, with Remy set to join his new team-mates.
The Anfield club matched Remy’s £8.5 million release clause allowing him to speak with teams in the Champions League.
Meanwhile Southampton defender Dejan Lovren could follow Remy to the States, with the Reds holding positive negotiations over his transfer.
Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is keen to keep his star centre-back, but it is believed the club have agreed on a fee for Lovren to move on.
Liverpool have had a busy summer transfer window, with Remy and Lovren set to become their fifth and sixth summer signings if completed.
