Arsenal are edging closer to losing Lukas Podolski in January after revealing that is will need to consider his options if he is not given a larger role at the club, Express reports.
With seven league matches already being played, the 29-year-old has registered less than 40 minutes so far, resulting in his frustration at always being left out.
Arsene Wenger chose to sign Danny Welbeck from Manchester United on deadline day instead of giving the German attacker a chance to prove himself as he has now hinted that he may force an exit.
He said: “I have assessed my position in the team, and it has to change now.
“Let’s see what happens in the winter. The fact is that I’m not happy with it, that’s clear.”
It seems that his role in the side is getting reduced as the seasons go by, after making 25 appearances in his debut year netting 11 goals before seeing his place in the squad limited to the bench.
Both Juventus and Wolfsburg are rumoured to be monitoring his situation and after his latest admission, it looks as though the two clubs could be making a move in the near future.
