The Norwegian left back has been a prominent figure in the Premier League over the past ten years with his time at Liverpool being the real highlight.
The red-headed attacking full back failed to make much of an impact at Craven Cottage last season and boss Martin Jol has told Riise he is no longer needed.
The 32 year old has featured in the majority of Fulham’s pre-season games so is fully fit and raring to go for the new season despite seemingly not having a club.
A move to the Bundesliga has been touted this week with Werder Bremen the likely destination however a number of Premier League clubs will be interested in Riise’s hefty left foot and may make a move to keep the defender in England.
“Yes, it looks like I will be parting company with Fulham this summer,” Riise said.
“Fortunately there is an agreement for there to be no transfer fee, so let’s see what the rest of the transfer window brings.”
