Emergency loanee Marton Fulop was pleased with his debut for Manchester City, despite a nervy display in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old Hungary international was drafted in by the Citizens from Sunderland after Shay Given suffered a dislocated shoulder and Fulop was content with his first outing.

He told MTI:"Unfortunately I haven't been between the sticks for three months, so I needed 15 minutes to get into the swing of the game.

"But I felt good on the pitch, my team-mates helped me a lot and made my job easier.

"Everyone is dreaming about a chance like the one I got, so I said yes with pleasure.

"I'm doing my best to prove that I deserved their confidence and I want to help the team to reach their aims.

"I could easily recognise that this team has very big goals. I was surprised in the dressing room too - there were lots of star players, but the atmosphere was very family-like and friendly.

"I don't care about anything regarding my future, I just concentrate on my two more games at City. I'll see later what the future brings."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
