Galatasaray have denied speculation that they received an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for star goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.
Muslera has been heavily linked with a move away from the Turk Telekom Arena since the summer, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United also reportedly keen on the experienced Uruguay international.
However, in recent weeks, Spurs were thought to be interested in Muslera’s services, but the club have released a statement denying any sort of bid from the Premier League side.
The statement read: “No offers have been received from Tottenham Hotspur nor have negotiations taken place for our goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.”
The Turkish giants are going through a bit of a crisis, with the club suspended by UEFA from all European football after they breached financial fair play rules and their manager Mustafa Denizli resigning from the post just three months following his appointment.
And the situation has seen many of their stars coveted by other top clubs due to their low probability of playing Champions League football next season.
