Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has told bosses at the Santiago Bernabeu that they cannot afford to lose out to bitter rivals Barcelona in signing Liverpool starlet Ben Woodburn, according to reports from Don Balon.
The reports claim that the Catalan giants have begun the process of landing Bale’s international teammate, who became Liverpool’s youngest goalscorer earlier this season with his goal in an EFL Cup win over Leeds United.
However, the former Tottenham man has supposedly made it clear that the Galacticos would be foolish to miss out on the 17-year-old sensation.
After his Liverpool breakthrough against Leeds the youngster earned his international nod this season with Chris Coleman handing him a call up, although he is still waiting on a first cap.
Despite being in and around the first team this season the young forward has also bagged eight goals and six assists in 14 games for the development side as well.
