Gerard Houllier has admitted once again that he would love to bring Manchester United forward Michael Owen to Aston Villa.
Houllier managed the former England striker for six years at Liverpool and he has repeatedly expressed his admiration for the player.
Owen will be out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer and Houllier has told The Mail On Sunday that he would like to be reunited with the forward.
He said:"I would love to bring him here.
"He would be good for the group and has a joyful attitude to playing."
Houllier takes his Villa side to Anfield on Monday evening, with both sides desperate for the three points. The duo sit in the lower half of the Premier League table and will be looking to advance up the league as they try to qualify for an elusive Champions League spot.
