German outfits deny £28m release-clause for £40m Arsenal and Liverpool target

Arsenal and Liverpool have been told that there is no £28million release-clause tied into the contract of £40million rated Schalke star Leroy Sane, Express reports.

The 20-year-old is also being tracked by rivals Manchester City as a host of clubs were believed to have been alerted by his potential release-clause.

However, with Schalke eventually coming out to deny speculation over his fee, all interested parties are now expected to start a bidding war around the £40million region.

It was also believed that the Gunners have begun talks over a potential deal for the attacker, but according to their sporting director Horst Heldt, no advances have been made.

“There are no offers for Sane at the moment – you should not focus on things too much until something becomes seriousand that is not the case as things stand,” he said.

Sane caught the attentions of the interest clubs after impressing in a 4-3 victory over Real Madrid last season with one goal and another one assist.

In addition to interest from a host of English clubs, La Liga pair Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to have joined the race for his services.
