Gervinho is poised to end his Arsenal nightmare by completing a £7million switch to Serie A giants Roma, according to the Daily Mail.
The forward – who has also been linked with a move to Lyon – is expected to finalize his move over the weekend.
The 26-year-old has not travelled with the rest of the Arsenal squad for their pre season tour of Asia, a further indication his Arsenal career his drawing to a close.
Arsene Wenger has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his forward line this summer, having been consistently linked with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez.
Reports suggest the club are on the brink of completing a club record deal for Brazilian playmaker Bernard, meaning Gervinho is seen as surplus to requirements at the club.
The Ivory Coast international joined the club in the summer of 2011 from Lille, but never really settled into life in the Premier League, becoming well known amongst supporters for his catalogue of poor misses.
Last season saw him start the campaign as a central striker, and despite an early flurry of goals, he soon lost his place in the starting eleven.
He will depart the Emirates with a record of 45 Premier League appearances and 9 goals.
