Champions League clubs Udinese and Valencia are interested in signing Tottenham’s Giovani Dos Santos, joining Sevilla in the chase for the Mexican attacker.
The 22-year-old signed for Spurs from Barcelona in a £4.7 million deal back in 2008, but has found first team opportunities limited since moving to England, and has spent time on loan at Ipswich, Galatasaray and Racing Santander over the last three seasons.
Sky Sports reports that although the Central American’s current employers want to sell him, Sevilla are only interested in a temporary deal.
“Tottenham want a sale but at the moment Sevilla are only interested in a loan with the first option to buy. This is the problem because the subject is complicated,” president Jose Maria del Nido has stated.
However the Andalusian side will face competition from Udinese and Valencia, as they look to bolster their squads ahead of the 2011/12 campaign.
A fee similar to what the White Hart Lane paid Barcelona is believed to suffice to end the attacker’s spell in England, with 10 per cent of any fee going to the Catalan side.
