Glasgow Rangers are ready to make a move for out-of-favour Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald according to The Express and Star, with the Ibrox club set to start their recruitment drive.
The Scottish giants have confirmed their return to the top tier of the domestic game and are expected to immediately challenge eternal rivals Celtic for the title next season.
A 1-0 win over Dumbarton earlier this week confirmed the side’s return to the big time, with a host of new faces expected to arrive at Ibrox before the 2016-17 campaign kicks off.
McDonald is an experienced campaigner and has featured at a number of prominent English Football League clubs after moving south of the border from Dundee in 2008.
However, the 27-year-old has been frozen out at Molineux and Mark Warburton’s men are believed to be ready to take advantage of the situation and bring the former under-21 international back to Scotland.
