Young Nigerian attacker Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he will be visiting the Arsenal training ground ahead of a potential transfer, according to reports from the Metro.
Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to a top European ever since the U17 World Cup earlier this year, in which the 16-year-old led his country to the trophy with an incredible series of displays.
The likes of Wolfsburg and North London rivals Tottenham are also keen on Osimhen, with both clubs convinced he will be a fine player for the future.
However, the Gunners and Spurs will need to prepare an offer quickly, with Osimhen admitting that Wolfsburg have already held talks and made a substantial offer for his services.
“I spoke with the [Wolfsburg] coach who also made several promises and if I eventually choose to sign for them, I hope they’ll keep their word,” he said.
But, the wonderkid went on to claim that Arsenal have also made contact and he will visit the club to consider his options.
He added: “But I have not decided where to go yet because Arsenal are also showing strong interests and perhaps after my visit to the club, I will have a clear view of where I want to go.”
During the U17 World Cup, Osimhen finished as the Golden Boot winner with 10 goals in seven games.
