Portsmouth boss Avram Grant is hoping to be able to bring former loanee Jamie O'Hara back to Fratton Park after the club's transfer embargo was lifted.
After seeing his side battle back to earn a 1-1 draw at home to fellow strugglers West Ham United, Grant set his sights on a couple of late deals to bolster his struggling squad.
He commented:"That's the fourth time we've come from 1-0 down, it shows that the spirit is good.
"In football you need a lot of character and we showed that we have that, but I hope next time we will score the first goal.
"In this situation other teams could break but we kept fighting. It will not be easy to break us. The players are giving everything and the attitude is very good."
Of the prospects of bringing in a new player or two, Grant added:"It's good news. We would have liked to bring players in earlier, but we will try our best because the squad is very short.
"I hope we can bring Jamie O'Hara back because he knows the team and he did a good job for us.
"As I understand, we can only bring in loan players or players without a contract."
