Portsmouth boss Avram Grant refused to accept that his side's survival hopes had taken a mortal blow in the 2-0 defeat at fellow strugglers West Ham United.
The loss left Pompey four points adrift of the safety mark and still bottom of the Premier League table.
Grant stated:"Everything is possible, we have the quality to win. I've said it so many times and I'm not a person to change my mind.
"I think we deserved something after the performance in the second half. The game didn't start that well but we dominated in the second half.
"We had the chances but couldn't take them.
"Everything is possible still and every game is still important. We still have the squad, it is okay.
"We want to push on and we can still get out of the position we are in."
