Aston Villa have received a huge boost with the news that Jack Grealish will return from injury this evening. The England Under-21 international has been out of action since July due to kidney damage. It has been a long three months for the midfielder, but it seems as though he is edging even closer to a first-team return. The Villans confirmed on their official website on Monday that Grealish will play in the Under-23s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in Telford. There have been no indications as yet to when the midfielder will return to first-team contention for manager Steve Bruce, but he has gone back into full training.
Villa's following are in need of a bit of positivity today given that they had to witness the senior team lose 2-0 to Wolves in the Championship on Saturday.
The result ended the team's eight-match unbeaten run in the second tier, but they are just one point outside the playoff spots.
Automatic promotion is looking a little further away now that they reside seven points adrift of leaders Wolves, but there is a long season ahead.
