A report in The Sun today states that new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is not convinced by Joe Hart and wants to sign Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen as a replacement.
The Catalan coach has taken the reigns at the Etihad Stadium and revitalised the club’s squad with a host of new exciting players.
However, Hart’s role with the title-chasers may well be set to change, with Guardiola believed to want a new custodian.
Ter Stegen has impressed since moving from Borussia Monchengladbach to Barcelona but is not always guaranteed to start for the Spanish champions due to the presence of Claudio Bravo.
The German usually plays in the Champions League, while the Chilean gets the nod for La Liga action.
As such, it is believed that Ter Stegen would be open to leaving Camp Nou in a bid to play more regular football, while Barcelona could be tempted to see the stopper and make Bravo the number one in all competitions.
