Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp insists it will be a 'miracle' if his side manage to overtake Arsenal on the final day of the Premier League season to finish in third place.

Spurs, who guaranteed Champions League qualification with a 1-0 win over Manchester City in midweek, must see off the challenge of Burnley and hope that Fulham can beat the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

However, with Roy Hodgson's Cottagers taking on Atletico Madrid in the Europa League final on Wednesday night in Hamburg, Redknapp does not believe they will be handed a favour from their fellow Londoners.

Speaking to reporters, Redknapp said:"We'll go into the last game and give it our best shot (to come third) but it's very, very difficult.

"It will be difficult for Fulham to get a result at Arsenal. Roy's got a Europa League final on Wednesday to consider and he's got to do what he feels is right for the club.

"We're pleased to be where we are - if a miracle happens and we can win at Burnley and Fulham pull off a win at Arsenal, that would be even better, but it's a long shot."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
