Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that preparations for next season in the Champions League have already begun.

Wednesday's 1-0 victory over top four rivals Manchester City at Eastlands secured a first ever place in the Champions League for the north London club.

Reports claim that Redknapp could be handed a transfer kitty of around £50million during the summer and the Spurs boss has already held preliminary talks with chairman Daniel Levy about their plans for the off-season.

"The chairman is here and we have been talking about different parts for next season, but it is early days," he explained.

"We haven't really got any targets yet. We have looked at a lot of players, but we will see how we go with that.

"We are not going to be big spenders, I do not see that happening. We have got a good squad here, good young players."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
