Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has voiced his concerns over centre-back Jonathan Woodgate's continuing battle to overcome a long-standing groin problem.
The 29-year-old England international defender has been sidelined since the 9-1 demolition of Wigan Athletic in late November, having undergone surgery in the summer to try and solve the problem.
Redknapp told reporters:"Hopefully when he comes back he will be able to train properly, but he is not able to train at the moment.
"It is just a case of trying to get to the bottom of what is causing the problem. He has had a few operations on that area and we are finding it difficult to solve the problem.
"It is concerning for him as well. He wants to play football as much as anybody, more than anybody. But hopefully in a couple of weeks it could go away in the same way as it came.
"They feel that the strengthening work that they are doing now is starting to show some signs of improvement, we just hope that that's going to do the trick for him now.
"I think he feels he's working hard now and he's hoping that he's on the way back."
