A host English clubs, including Doncaster Rovers, are looking into the possibility of signing talented Celtic midfielder Jamie Lindsay, according to HITC Sport.
Lindsay has been on loan at Scottish Championship side Dumbarton as he didn’t figure in Celtic manager’s first team plans this season.
He made his debut in the Championship against Morton in a 3-2 win back in July and has subsequently appeared 20 times in the league.
The 20-year-old had his loan extended in January to remain at The Sons until the end of the season after he was named the club’s player of the month for November and December.
Dumbarton currently sit 8th in the table with 30 points from 28 games. Although they have played a game less than those below them, they still lie dangerously close to the relegation zone with Livingston two points adrift and they will be hoping that Lindsay, who has appeared for Scotland at U16, U17 and U19 level, can help them to secure their Championship status for next season.
Lindsay’s parent club Celtic meanwhile are now five points ahead of second placed Aberdeen with six games to go.
