Liverpool are dealt a huge blow after revealing that Daniel Sturridge will miss two vital clashes with Real Madrid as well as Chelsea in the upcoming week, Mirror reports.
They will also be without the services of their star striker this weekend when the Reds travel to Newcastle United as he is still suffering from a calf problem.
Sturridge has been sidelined for the clubs last six league games with a potential return date set on November 23, where Brendan Rodger’s side will face Crystal Palace.
After Newcastle this week, they will travel to Spain to face Madrid in the Champions League group stages with another match against the Blues the following weekend.
When Rodgers was asked about the 25-year-old striker, he played down the chances of his star player making an appearance.
“No. I don’t think he will be fit.”
