Hull City have confirmed the signing of Manchester United ace Nick Powell on loan until the end of the campaign.
The 21-year-old has struggled for game time at Old Trafford following his return from a lengthy injury spell, making only two appearances this season.
However, he has been in good form for the U-21s in recent months, alerting a host of clubs during the January window.
He has now joined Steve Bruce at Hull as the club look to make a return to the English top flight after being relegated to the Championship last season.
Powell admitted that he was keen to get more game time after being sidelined for such an extended period as he looks to prove his worth under Bruce.
“I wanted to get more game-time. I haven’t played in a long time and I’ve been injured quite a lot. Hopefully that’s in the past for me now – I’m striving to get more games and play football again,” he is quoted by manutd.com.
The attacking midfielder joined from Crewe Alexandra back in 2012, but has consistently been loaned out and has only managed to register three senior appearances for the Red Devils since his arrival.
