Hull City sign promising youngster

Hull City have signed young defender Bradley Maslen-Jones from Peterborough, according to HITC Sport.

It’s been a tough summer for the recently promoted team, who lost star players like Mo Diame, and their manager Steve Bruce.

But this didn’t stop the Tigers from an opening day victory over the Premier League champions Leicester City, and things have got even better since the weekend with the addition of the 18-year-old.

Maslen-Jones is expected to initially join the club’s youth academy, but is expected to be fast-tracked into the first team in due course. Whilst there are high hopes for the youngster, he never made a first team appearance whilst at Peterborough.

He is a versatile player, who can also play in central midfield, and spent some time earlier in the summer on trial with Hull, which ultimately helped him secure a 1-year deal after impressing the coaches.

He isn’t expected to feature in the squad that travels to Swansea City on Saturday.

Hull City have now confirmed the move on their official club website.
