Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has held talks with the agent of Roma star Kostas Manolas ahead of a potential summer transfer, according to reports from CalcioNews24.
Manolas has been heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico in recent weeks, with the Blues extremely keen on the Greece international defender.
The 24-year-old has been a target for Chelsea for some time, with the club hoping to replace departing club captain John Terry with Manolas at centre-back.
And Conte has wasted no time, with the current Italy boss being seen having lunch with Manolas’ agent Ioannis Evangelopoulos in London.
However, a move for Manolas is expected to cost the Blues no less than £30million, with the former Olympiakos star only joining Roma in 2014 and his contract expiring in 2019.
Manolas has been in impressive form for the Giallorossi this term, making 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
