Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hinted that the club should make a move for Manchester United target Paul Pogba, Mirror reports.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a host of European giants after impressing for Juventus since his free transfer from United back in 2012.

Pogba recently admitted that he would be interested in working with the current Bayern Munich boss, a revelation that looks to have alerted City in their chase for the midfielder.

Guardiola has now come out to praise the France international before hinting that the Premier League giants should consider a move for his services.

“Now he’s a Juventus player, he’s very strong and very young. He’s shown his value, but I know he’s happy at Juve and I wish him a long career,” he said.

“Would I like to coach him? It doesn’t depend on me, but on the club.”

The player was able to showcase his talents for the Spaniard up close as Juventus came out of their Champions League first leg tie with Bayern 2-2 last night.

He has already featured 35 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far scoring six goals while providing another nine assists.
