Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has confirmed he will be out for another seven weeks with an injury, according to the Express.
The German midfielder damaged his knee ligaments during the Gunners’ 2-0 loss to Chelsea back in October, with initial reports stating he will miss five weeks of football.
However it has now been revealed that Ozil is set to be sidelined for another seven weeks, meaning he will not be available for selection until 2015.
“I have already been out for five weeks and will be out for another seven weeks,” Ozil stated.
“That is a really long time but that is the way it is in football sometimes. My head is held high and we look forward.”
Ozil has come under a lot of criticism for his overall poor displays, with many urging manager Arsene Wenger to drop the 26-year-old from the starting eleven.
But the former Real Madrid ace slowly improved after his World Cup hangover, until he was halted due to this injury.
