Arsenal have been boosted by the news that star midfielder Jack Wilshere could return sooner than expected from injury, according to reports from the Express.
Wilshere sustained a hairline fracture in his left fibula during training before the Community Shield victory over Chelsea, and it was uncertain whether he would require surgery to fix the problem.
However, it seems that the England international will not have to go under the knife and is expected to return sooner than initially planned.
The central midfielder was sent to enjoy a rest in Dubai and will come back to England within the next day, but the Gunners are unable to give a concrete date on his return to first-team action.
Wilshere has had a fair share of injuries over the course of his career, with his ankle usually the cause of his misfortunes.
The 23-year-old only managed to play 14 Premier League games last season, scoring two goals.
