New signing Alex Hleb will have to wait to make his Birmingham City debut after picking up an injury while away on international duty.
The Belarus midfielder, who joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Barcelona last week, was set to make his debut in Sunday's visit of Liverpool to St Andrew's.
However, the 29-year-old international captain has returned to Birmingham with a leg injury following his country's midweek goalless Euro 2012 qualifying draw with Romania.
"His injury isn't too serious but Hleb told me he definitely would be unable to play on Sunday," Belarus coach Bernd Strange told the Express and Star.
"He should be able to return to action sometime next week. He just needs some rest and have some physio."
