Inter Milan have confirmed their interest in signing Liverpool target Stevan Jovetic from Manchester City, according to reports from the Express.
The 25-year-old struggled to hold down a regular role at the Etihad following his £20million move from Italian outfits Fiorentina back in 2013.
After managing nine starts this term, it is believed that the Montenegro international is looking for a way out after only two years.
Inter are also interested in the move after club director, Piero Ausilio, revealed that the City star was one of the names on their list of potential targets.
“There are many players that we are evaluating at this moment,” he said.
“Jovetic is one of them and I don’t know whether Manchester City put him on the market or not.
“We need to bring in a few players. It’s not a question of quantity, but of quality. They must be talented, useful and functional to the project.”
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be in the market for another striker, with Jovetic, along with his teammate Edin Dzeko both possible additions.
