Inter Milan star wants Manchester City striker to make Serie A switch

Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic has urged the Italians to sign Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko this summer, as reported by Sky Sports.

Inter are on the look out to bolster their forward line this summer with Dzeko, Fernando Torres and Alvaro Morata among the names being linked with a move to Milan.

Dzeko has been a main stay in the City side this season with injuries to Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo obvious and the Bosnian has notched 21 times.

Croatian international Kovacic believes Dzeko would be the ideal choice for the club this summer, with his overall game perfect for Italian football.

“We need a top player to reduce the gap between the top teams and us,” the 19-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Who would I prefer between Edin Dzeko, Fernando Torres and Alvaro Morata? Dzeko.

“He is technically very strong, scores many goals and helps the team so much in defending.”
