Roma have slapped a £32million price tag on star midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who is being targeted by Manchester United and Liverpool, Express reports.
Pjanic has been linked to United and the Reds the past season following another impressive campaign for Roma, which saw the Italian club finish second behind champions Juventus.
Kop manager Brendan Rodgers is still keen on a world class midfielder despite already securing six new players over the course of the summer, and believes Pjanic could be Steven Gerrard’s long-term successor.
The Red Devils are also interested in a central midfielder, and could turn to the Bosnia-Herzegovina international in the case their move for Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin breaks down.
But, the Serie A giants are reluctant to lose the former Lyon man cheaply, and are demanding at least £32million to facilitate the transfer.
Pjanic played 46 games in all competition last season, scoring five goals and supplying ten assists.
