Italian club turn to Premier League for striking options

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres

Italian side Fiorentina will look to sign either Chelsea’s Fernando Torres or Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko this summer according to talkSPORT.

The Florence club are set to sell their prized asset Stevan Jovetic to Arsenal this summer for at least £20million and will use all of that money to seek out a replacement.

While Torres has struggled to find form in the Premier League for Chelsea this season his European goalscoring record is good and whoever takes over from Rafa Benitez at Stamford Bridge will have to make a decision on the Spaniards future.

Dzeko is City’s top goalscorer in this campaign but is still expected to be shown the door as another new manager at the Etihad will look to freshen up the underachieving front line for the Blues.

Fiorentina will make a decision on which of the pair to go for once the Jovetic deal to North London is signed and sealed.
