Italian giants drop out of race for Arsenal and Man United target

Arsenal and Manchester United have been boosted by the news that AC Milan will not be able to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, according to reports from FourFourTwo.

Ibrahimovic has been heavily linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes in recent weeks, with the Sweden legend ‘s PSG contract expiring at the end of the season.

And ‘Zlatan’ has also revealed that he will not extend his deal past the summer, even joking that the only way he will be convinced to stay is if the club replace the Eiffel Tower with a statue of himself.

This saw the likes Arsenal, Man United, AC Milan, and clubs in China keen on his signature, but it seems that the striker’s former club Milan have pulled out of the race, with President Silvio Berlusconi ruling out a move for the 34-year-old due to financial reasons.

“It is impossible to bring back Ibrahimovic,” Berlusconi told Tele Radio Stereo.

“Zlatan is receiving offers from China and the UAE that we simply cannot match.”

Ibrahimovic has made 40 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring 35 goals.
