Italian giants rule out move for Manchester United ace

Juventus sporting directo Giuseppe Marotta has ruled out the possibility of the Italians making a last ditch move to sign Manchester United winger Nani this summer, according to the Express.

The Portuguese playmaker fell out of favour under Sir Alex Ferguson last season at Old Trafford and was widely expected to leave the North West for pastures new this summer.

However new boss David Moyes has struggled to attract his preferred targets in the transfer market and so is not prepared to let any first team player leave until he has a replacement.

Nani has competition from Ryan Giggs, Ashley Young, Wilfried Zaha and Shinji Kagawa for a first team spot this season but Marotta has claimed that the winger has signed a new contract with United, ruling out the possibility of a deadline day move to Turin.

“He’s renewed his contract with Manchester United and we never negotiated for him,” Marotta said.
