Striker Simeon Jackson and goalkeeper Lee Camp are among 10 players who have been released by Norwich City this summer.
Canaries’ officials revealed a list of players who are no longer in the plans of boss Chris Hughton going into next season at Carrow Road and the departure of Canada international hitman, Jackson, was the main talking point.
The 26-year-old has made over 70 appearances for the club in three seasons but struggled for regular first-team football throughout, while he has 35 appearances under his belt for his country. However, Jackson will be free to find a new club when his contract expires on July 1.
Camp, who has made three appearances for the club since joining in January, will also leave now that regular number one John Ruddy is back to full fitness.
Defenders Marc Tierney, who is joining Bolton, and Elliott Ward, Derby-bound striker Chris Martin, midfielder Korey Smith, who spent a part of last season on loan at Oldham, and youngsters Tom Adeyemi and George Francomb will all depart.
Development squad players Ramil Sheriff and Olumide Durojaiye have also been released with the latter already set to join Gary Holt’s Falkirk.
The statement on the Norwich website read: “Norwich City football club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to all of the lads for their service and commitment to the Canaries and wish them all the very best for the future.”
Chris Hughton added: “I’d like to personally thank every single one of these lads, their attitude this season has been first class. They are all top individuals and we wish them all the very best.”
