Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has admitted that he is “keeping all options open” amid speculation linking the Dutchman with a move away from the Premier League.
Janssen joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in a £20m deal last summer, but the 22-year-old only managed two goals from open play across 38 matches in all competitions.
A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the Netherlands international ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, and Janssen has conceded that he could seek pastures new this summer after struggling to make his mark in England.
Janssen told De Telegraph:
“I cannot say anything about that. I keep all options open. [My future] is a matter for after the holidays. I want the prospect of more playing time, but otherwise I’m now better keeping my mouth shut.”
Janssen joined Spurs off the back of netting 31 goals for AZ during the 2015-16 season, while he has also found the back of the net on five occasions in 11 international appearances.
The Dutchman struggled to gain the confidence of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino last term, however, and it appears that the centre-forward could be on his way out of the London club this summer.
